From the Catacombs

From the Catacombs is a video concert series filmed during a single day in November 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, inside the Catacombs of Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery. The performances explore themes of politics, isolation, grief, remembrance, healing and more, with artists like Jennifer Koh performing Bach; Simone Dinnerstein playing Glass and Couperin; Helga Davis and Jeffrey Zeigler performing music by Paola Prestini, Marcos Balter, and Yuan-Chen Li; Conrad Tao playing Rzewski and his own music; Conor Hanick playing Hans Otte's Book of Sounds; the Harlem Chamber Players performing George Walker; and the Ulysses Quartet playing Beethoven and Golijov.
